“My then best friend who lived next door to me was my guitar teacher. He was 6 months ahead of me in his own learning journey and was being taught by his older brother who was a bit of a virtuoso. It was a quirky, yet fluid transfer of learning sequence we had going on. I had a teacher who was equally as enthusiastic as me. He too was learning through desire.

As Bryan Adams famously sang "played it 'till my fingers bled".... well that was true for me. There was no progress without a little pain.

A few months into my musical learning journey I remember having a careers discussion in high school. Forgive the lack of accuracy here… it went something along the lines of….”
