Our client is one of the world's largest logistics specialists who provides supply chain services to global automotive manufacturers.

We worked closely together to establish and support the set-up of a multiple production facility, including management planning, operational project management and delivery, visual management performance, and the daily management and delivery of an effective manpower planning function.

The project was successfully delivered over a 13 month period, with a comprehensive handover to both operational and indirect teams including:

  • Standard project reporting process & infrastructure for new model development and transformation programme at the production plant

  • Tri-plant master schedule process and management approach to monitor all primary activities within the client's automotive contract

  • A best-practice 'war-room' performance management environment established across 3 production plants to drive overall programme delivery

  • Key metrics to continuously measure performance and effectiveness of the manpower planning function

  • Effective training and coaching of all key teams

Upon successful completion and handover, the Logistics Operational Director was pleased to comment:

"Spitfire functioned with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. Our continuously changing requirements were responded to very positively, and the level of support received was a credit to Spitfire where a real 'can do' approach was evident throughout the life of the project".
