Collaborative process improvement remains a must while remote working

Our client, a leading highways service provider working with local authorities across the UK had identified an important need to optimise the core commercial processes being used to administer one of its major contracts.

Due to the impact of Covid-19 the contract’s commercial team together with other key stakeholders are working remotely to each other. Spitfire was asked to design and deliver a series of Virtual Improvement Workshops focused on bringing the team ‘closer together’ and targeting five core processes for improvement. Using a blend of proprietary digital tools together with Spitfire’s adapted workshop facilitation techniques, all identified team members were able to participate in a series of three-hour workshops focused on five core processes, generating 22 targeted and robust improvement actions including two new, simplified processes. Our client now has a change plan which will deliver tangible results within a period of six to eight weeks.
